elcome to the Digital Meltd0wn Music Blog. The aim of this blog is to introduce the readers to music that is out of print, commercially unavailable, released under a creative commons license, or with approval by the featured artist. The majority of the music posted here would be considered underground. Don't let that fool you into thinking that the music featured here might be any less enjoyable than that of the mainstream artists you hear on the radio, as this couldn't be further from the truth.
Please keep in mind that the majority of the artists that appear on this blog, along with their respective record labels, are not wealthy and need your support. If you enjoy the material that you find here, please support the artists/labels by purchasing their material afterwards. If you are an artist/label that would prefer to have your material removed from this blog, simply leave me a comment, and I would be more than happy to promptly remove the offending post.
In addition to running this blog, I also work on a few other projects during my spare time. You can find links to those, as well as a few other important links associated with Digital Meltd0wn in the menu bar above.
First off, I would like to apologize for what has been another lengthy absence. I don't want to go into too many details, because that would involve me revealing a lot of things about my personal life that I would rather not go into to. Let's just say that I have had a considerable amount of personal problems to deal with, and I'm still going through a very rough time. I'm effectively homeless at the moment, and in the recent past, someone stole all of my music and related equipment. Shortly after that the harddrives that I had all my music backed up to were also stolen. However, I finally have some good news to report for a change. I was able to recover one of my harddrives, which contains roughly 700 gigs of music. Once it is in my possession, which should hopefully be within the next week or two, I plan to start posting fresh material, and reuploading albums that have been removed from the respective file sharing sites they were uploaded to. Those of you who have followed this blog over the years know that I'm not too keen on getting too personal here, but for the sake of ensuring everyone of my intentions to keep this blog going, I will continue to post some updates on my personal status, address a few issues that need to be touched upon, and share my thoughts concerning the future of this blog and the direction I plan to head in. Please check back here for more details in the days to come.
