Welcome

elcome to the Digital Meltd0wn Music Blog. The aim of this blog is to introduce the readers to music that is out of print, commercially unavailable, released under a creative commons license, or with approval by the featured artist. The majority of the music posted here would be considered underground. Don't let that fool you into thinking that the music featured here might be any less enjoyable than that of the mainstream artists you hear on the radio, as this couldn't be further from the truth. Please keep in mind that the majority of the artists that appear on this blog, along with their respective record labels, are not wealthy and need your support. If you enjoy the material that you find here, please support the artists/labels by purchasing their material afterwards. If you are an artist/label that would prefer to have your material removed from this blog, simply leave me a comment, and I would be more than happy to promptly remove the offending post. In addition to running this blog, I also work on a few other projects during my spare time. You can find links to those, as well as a few other important links associated with Digital Meltd0wn in the menu bar above.

Report A Dead Link

If you find an album which has a broken download link, and would like to request that it be re-uploaded, please leave a comment here. Once you have notified us of a dead link, we will add it to the list below, and it will be re-uploaded as soon as we have the time.

If you have downloaded one of the albums below from this blog, and would like to help out, you can do so by uploading one of the albums below and leaving a comment here. It will help save us a lot of time, and ensure that we can continue focusing on sharing material that hasn't already been posted here.

I just found your blog this evening and plan on becoming a regular reader. I found 3 dead links. Mudhoney - Mudhoney, Danzig- Danzig, and Mudhoney - Superfuzz Bigmuff Plus Early Singles. I'd appreciate reuploads of any/all of them. Now I'm going to go look at your requests and see what I can offer you. Thank you very much!

Zer0_II -

The Redd Cross link on my blog should work just fine as long as you click the big green download button on the post. Check your pop-up blocker on your browser as well.
I use both Safari & Firefox on a Mac to do all this, so I'm thinking it should work for you if you are on a PC.

i rarely have any reports of down links, etc.

if it does not work for you and you want those files, just email me - check my sidebar - and I'll gladly send you the direct link. No problem!

thanks for checkingme out, and thanks for doing what you do here at DM.

Hey I just thought I'd point out that I can no longer browse by genre...everytime I click on any genre, the progress bar loads to 100% but the webpage doesn't complete and all I see is the background. It could be something to do with my browser, but it was all working fine and dandy a week back.

@Anonymous: Thank you for letting me know about this. I have noticed that IE has issues with the menu bar I use at the top of my blog. Are you referring to it, or the menu on the sidebar. Also, which browser and version are you using, and have you tested to see if it works for you in an alternate browser? I'll see if I can duplicate the problem you're having, and if so, do what I can to take care of the problem.

Thought I'd let you know that the file at the link for Sonic's Rendezvous Band - City Slang seems to have been deleted. Thanks for all your hard work!

Zer0_II said...

@Hakon: Thank you for informing me, although I'm not sure if I am going to reupload City Slang. When I first started this blog I did post obscure music, although I posted it indesecrimately of whether or not the albums were out of print or commercially available. Since then I've decided to strictly post albums that are either out of print or otherwise commercially unavailable, or from independent artists/labels who have either requested that I share their music or given me permission to post it.

I'm fairly certain that City Slang is still in print, but if not I'll be sure to re-up it.

The Groove Goolies link isn't working...

Zer0_II said...

@Anonymous: Thank you for informing me of the Groovie Goolies link being down. Phelpster, from the Manchester Morgue blog, posted that album while he was guest-posting for the Halloween Countdown last year. Unfortunately, I don't believe that I downloaded it when he posted it, but I will check to make sure. If not, I can ask him to re-post it. I always allow all my guest-posters to retain posting privileges, so hopefully it won't be a problem for him to re-up and re-post it.

Hi, great site! I noticed that the Alice in Chains Is Layne Still in Rehab is no longer available. It would be great if you could post it again. Thanks!

Hi there,

Great site! :-)

I've noticed several links to megaupload, which has been shut down.

One option would be to post a link to a bittorrent ... that should be more reliable.

The Exorcist is one of them. Rosemary's baby.

Also, for Metropolis, while disk 2 works, trying to download disk 1 generates a "corrupted content error"

The links for the Gottfried Huppertz Metropolis score are dead, any chance of a re-upload? Cheers!

Megaupload – and consequently every file uploaded to it – is currently dead. (Silly IP laws!) Perhaps consider migrating files from there to somewhere else? This includes many of the most recent posts.

If you're already aware of this, feel free to ignore me. :P

Excellent variety of music as always!

Man, This list is long. We're in the process of re-posting lost files as fast as we can. We'll go through these reports just as soon as we get caught up a bit. In the meantime, keep letting us know, we have not turned a deaf ear.

Greetings. I remember this blog about 5 or 6 years ago maybe, but just came back across it now. Would love to see the Life... But How To Live It? post back up - looks to be a megaupload victim. Thank you :-)
