Welcome

elcome to the Digital Meltd0wn Music Blog. The aim of this blog is to introduce the readers to music that is out of print, commercially unavailable, released under a creative commons license, or with approval by the featured artist. The majority of the music posted here would be considered underground. Don't let that fool you into thinking that the music featured here might be any less enjoyable than that of the mainstream artists you hear on the radio, as this couldn't be further from the truth. Please keep in mind that the majority of the artists that appear on this blog, along with their respective record labels, are not wealthy and need your support. If you enjoy the material that you find here, please support the artists/labels by purchasing their material afterwards. If you are an artist/label that would prefer to have your material removed from this blog, simply leave me a comment, and I would be more than happy to promptly remove the offending post. In addition to running this blog, I also work on a few other projects during my spare time. You can find links to those, as well as a few other important links associated with Digital Meltd0wn in the menu bar above.

Happy Birthday - Digital Meltd0wn Turns 2

Two years ago I started this blog with no specific goal in mind other than to share music that is all too often criminally overlooked. Since that time I have been fortunate enough to share hundreds of albums here, met some amazing people, been introduced to countless artists in turn, and have had over 350,000 visitors from around the globe grace these pages. After watching many amazing blogs come and go during the last two years, I'm proud to be able to say that not only is DM still here, but it's going stronger than ever. I would like to thank all of you who visit this blog frequently, especially those of you who are considerate enough to leave comments. I would also like to thank those of you who have worked as contributors here: Psyche Zenobia, Ally, Fill, and Psycho Cat. All of you helped tremendously when I needed it the most, and your contributions here were a breath of fresh air. I would also like to thank my girlfriend, Rhiannon, for being understanding enough to put up with my obsession for music and sharing it with others. Your support and encouragement means more to me than you realize. Thank you for all the support and kind words over the last two years. Here's to many more. Cheers!

Happy Birthday! I guess that makes Manson Music about the same age, too. Hey, I've got a request. Could you see if you could locate a bootleg of Elvis with Tom Jones? It was recorded at Elvis' house in Bel Air if that helps. Can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks in advance since I know you're the king (no pun intended) of finding rarities.

I was glad I could be apart of this two year adventure and I wish you many years more!

@David Snusgrop & Josh: Thank you for your comments. You're welcome for the music. I hope to be able to serve up many more offerings in the years to come.

@Psyche Zenobia: I suppose that would make Manson Music close to two years old also. Do you plan to acknowledge the event on your blog in some form? I'll see what I can do about digging up that Elvis boot for you. If I'm able to track it down I'll either send you a link via e-mail, or I'll post it here.

@Allywonderland: Thank you. It was my pleasure to have you here. You have unintentionally introduced me to so many fantastic artists that it only seemed right to offer you an invitation.

@Fill, Psyche Zenobia, & Allywonderland: I would like to thank you once again for your contributions here. I would like it if you all could return to guest blog once again. The invitation never expires. I know all too well that it can be rather time consuming, so if you are willing, just let me know when you would like to come aboard for another stint. I plan to give the blog a small makeover in the near future, and when I do I plan to tag your respective posts so that they can be easily found. I also plan to list you all as contributors.

I hope I didn't expose you to too much rubbish music. :P Things at NYU have kind of picked up but I'd love to do another stint at some point when time permits.
