elcome to the Digital Meltd0wn Music Blog. The aim of this blog is to introduce the readers to music that is out of print, commercially unavailable, released under a creative commons license, or with approval by the featured artist. The majority of the music posted here would be considered underground. Don't let that fool you into thinking that the music featured here might be any less enjoyable than that of the mainstream artists you hear on the radio, as this couldn't be further from the truth.
Please keep in mind that the majority of the artists that appear on this blog, along with their respective record labels, are not wealthy and need your support. If you enjoy the material that you find here, please support the artists/labels by purchasing their material afterwards. If you are an artist/label that would prefer to have your material removed from this blog, simply leave me a comment, and I would be more than happy to promptly remove the offending post.
In addition to running this blog, I also work on a few other projects during my spare time. You can find links to those, as well as a few other important links associated with Digital Meltd0wn in the menu bar above.
It has been far too long since I have been able to post regularly here on DM, and lately I have come to feel like an outsider to my own blog. I thought it was time that I check in and inform everyone of my current situation and what I have in store for the future. First of all though I would like to thank the regular contributors and guest bloggers who have helped keep DM going during my absence. Psyche Zenobia, AllyWonderland, and especially NØ. You all have been a godsend, and I can't possibly thank you enough for the help you have provided here.
My ability to regularly contribute here has been hampered ever since I took a job which required me to work close to 60 hours a week a little less than a year ago. Aside from working full time, I have literally been unable to post due to the large amount of important responsibilities that I have had to take care of Beginning in October, I will be attending one of the finest Aeronatics schools in the country, where I will be getting a degree in Quality Control and Non-Destructive Testing in the field of avionics. I'll be moving over a thousand miles to Tulsa, OK on September 21st, so I have had a heap of preparations to make for the move. I also needed to devote a few weeks to studying for my entrance exam, which I'm happy to be able to report that I passed with flying colors. I've been undergoing a series of major dental operations, which have really taken a toll on me recently. I had to go under the drill for 8 hours straight about a week ago, which had to be one of the longest days of my life. I've been in an extraordinary amount of pain ever since. I'll be going back in a couple of days to finish up the operation.
Needless to say I haven't had much time to devote to the blog during that time. I may have a brief window during which I can post a few albums before I make the big move though. I'm also going to attempt to recruit a few more individuals to contribute here till I am able to make a full return. I would like to thank Nathan Nothin', AllyWonderland and Psyche Zenobia once again. I know that you all have very busy lives also, and it means a lot to me that you have been willing to take the time to help out here. You made it possible to keep DM going rather than having to stick it on the backburner for an indefinite period of time.
Once I've moved to Tulsa and started school I hope to be able to contribute once again, although it will be on a somewhat limited basis. I won't be working full time while I am in school, and from what they tell me I won't have assignments to complete outside of school, so that may provide me with enough time to make a few posts a week. Hopefully I will be also able to recruit a few people who will be able to regularly contribute in order to keep the activity here up. I'll make an effort to keep everyone better informed of my situation in the future. In the meantime I hope that you all will enjoy the gems that I have in store for you before I move.
