Albin Julius's Der Blutharsch started as a side project to The Moon lay beneath a Cloud, around '96. The soundscape evolves from industrial to a drone dark ambient, with strong historical references via sound decollage and the use of military-related themes and aesthetics. Despite all appearances, this music has nothing in common with fascism (but the sound imagery of the era in discussion, as a reminder of the absurdity of the "human").

I was just listening to Fire Danger Season last night (particularly vol. 3 remixes [:wumpscut & Death in June especially are exceptional]). Good post. Glad you grabbed the Dream Syndicate. I have the John Cale vol.III (Stainless Gamelan) if you don't got.
Great blog. Many thanks.
Howdy all...long time visitor, first time commentor. Love the blog and I visit almost daily. You guys have turned me on to a bunch of music I might never have even considered listening to...and for that I have to thank you. I would really like to give this a try, but I've noticed the link appears to be having issues...is there another link where I might be able to check it out? Anyway, I just wanted to give thanks and appreciation...keep it up!!
To Aaron,
Thanks for the heads-up about the link. This is NØ here, Sabina appears to be temporarily MIA for the holidaze season. Here is a new link (143.8MB ripped at 320Kbps).
Thanks again, & enjoy.
I apologize for overlooking this post for so long. I figured out the problem with the link. There were actually two different anchor links, one for the artist's name, and one for the album. The first one was redirecting to a page on blogger that didn't exist, while the second one actually worked. In any case, I fixed the link. Thank you Nathan for providing an alternative link. I'll add it to the post now also so that there is a download mirror.
Der Blutharsch have started to notice the effect of people downloading their music. If you want to see new albums of either, you should consider buying the MP3`s on itunes, or the cd... else, what you got might be all you get...
