Welcome

elcome to the Digital Meltd0wn Music Blog. The aim of this blog is to introduce the readers to music that is out of print, commercially unavailable, released under a creative commons license, or with approval by the featured artist. The majority of the music posted here would be considered underground. Don't let that fool you into thinking that the music featured here might be any less enjoyable than that of the mainstream artists you hear on the radio, as this couldn't be further from the truth. Please keep in mind that the majority of the artists that appear on this blog, along with their respective record labels, are not wealthy and need your support. If you enjoy the material that you find here, please support the artists/labels by purchasing their material afterwards. If you are an artist/label that would prefer to have your material removed from this blog, simply leave me a comment, and I would be more than happy to promptly remove the offending post. In addition to running this blog, I also work on a few other projects during my spare time. You can find links to those, as well as a few other important links associated with Digital Meltd0wn in the menu bar above.

I May Be Offline A Few Days

I'm in the process of moving at the moment. My internet service will have to be transferred, and I'm not sure how long that will take. Hopefully it won't be much more than a couple of days. I'll try to respond to any questions or comments if I have free time at work, but I won't be uploading any new material until my internet service is back again.

In the meantime, please leave a comment and recommend me some artists/bands to check out, or leave me some feedback on the recent modifications I've made to the blog, or suggestions for improvements or new features.

Hi Z,

Weird! I was just surfing Nau Pyrata (http://naupyrata.blogspot.com/) examining the page fronts with my designer's eye and when your blog showed up, there was *my* Digital Meltd0wn banner across the page... but when I clicked here and it's the Real Winner's design up top?

Oh well, happy Moving!

Anonymous: Thank you very much. I'll check out your album(?) whenever I get a chance and tell you what I think. The copy of New York, New York that I have plays just fine. What type of glitches are you experiencing? I'll see if I can find a higher quality version whenever I finish my move.

django: I noticed that also. Whenever I was trying to decide the winner of the contest I displayed all of the banners on the blog so I could see what each one would look like. I suppose Nau Pyrata captured an image of it while I was in the process of doing so.

Hi zer0
There are a few tracks on NYNY with errors. Minnesota Strip is particularly bad. It skips twice in the first minute, then again on the opening vocal line. Downloaded it from three different blogs & tried different players but it's always the same. I figured it may have originated here hence my visit.
Happy moving!

Music suggestions:

Bomb the Music Industry (free downloads at www.quoteunquoterecords.com).

Defiance, Ohio (links to free downloads at defianceohio.terrorware.com)

The Metasciences (free download at www.themetasciences.com)

Ed Wenn's bands (K-Line, Stupids, Big Ray, Chocolate et al) at edwenn.com

That should do. Thanks for a great blog.

Should note that all the above links lead to full releases, not just the odd track or so...
