elcome to the Digital Meltd0wn Music Blog. The aim of this blog is to introduce the readers to music that is out of print, commercially unavailable, released under a creative commons license, or with approval by the featured artist. The majority of the music posted here would be considered underground. Don't let that fool you into thinking that the music featured here might be any less enjoyable than that of the mainstream artists you hear on the radio, as this couldn't be further from the truth.
Please keep in mind that the majority of the artists that appear on this blog, along with their respective record labels, are not wealthy and need your support. If you enjoy the material that you find here, please support the artists/labels by purchasing their material afterwards. If you are an artist/label that would prefer to have your material removed from this blog, simply leave me a comment, and I would be more than happy to promptly remove the offending post.
In addition to running this blog, I also work on a few other projects during my spare time. You can find links to those, as well as a few other important links associated with Digital Meltd0wn in the menu bar above.
Ijust returned from my trip back home to visit family and friends in Tennessee. I had a fantastic time while I was home, and can honestly say that it's the most fun I've had in years. I was able to spend a lot of quality time with my son, family, closest friends, and even a few old friends that I thought I might never see again. The flight home was the first time in my life that I've ever ridden in an airplane, and I was every bit as fascinating as I thought it would be. I celebrated my 30th birthday on the 9th, which didn't turn out to be as depressing as I anticipated :). I also had some time to rest my mind, which I have desperately needed to do. I've been averaging at least 13 hours a day between work and school every day since October of 2009, and it was beginning to overwhelm me a little.
I look forward to getting back on track here where I left off with my plans for this blog, and updating the DM blogroll. I've made mention of an official announcment regarding a huge project that we are in the process of organizing. I had hoped to make an announcement regarding it before I went on vacation. My partners, Sab and NØ, have been focusing on taking care of some important personal responsibilities, and I wanted to wait till we are all doing well before I make such a huge announcement.
Over the next couple of weeks I will probably post no more than a couple of albums a week, as I will be busy preparing for the upcoming project and updating the DM blogroll. My posts in the near future will consist of re-ups, so if you notice a dead download link for an album you would like to have, please don't hesitate to leave a comment.
