To be honest I'm a little burnt out on writing at the moment, so this post is going to be a bit shorter than usual. I just finished five 500 word essays for school, along with a 5 page report, which I have been working on since I woke up this morning.
In case you're just now tuning in, I have been running with a dark and twisted library music series the last couple of weeks. One of the first I shared was Egisto Macchi's amazing 1976 library music album, Sei Composizioni, released on the Gemelli label as GG.ST 10.036 in 1976. Now I would like to share my personal favorite from Macchi, Futurrismo. Futurrismo was released on the French label, St Germain Des Prés in 1971. St Germain Des Prés was a sub-label of one of my favorite production music libraries, Montparnasse 2000.
For those unfamiliar with his work, Egisto Macchi was a legendary Italian composer of dark avant-garde and musique concrète library music. Macchi once again brilliantly combines dark, unnerving and broken electronic sounds with abstract traditional musical instrumentation. Foreboding violins, droning electric guitars, Disturbing sounds effects, such as knocking upon a wall, screeching metal, howling winds, shrieking animalistic sounds and strange voices are implemented to enhance the unnerving atmosphere. Macchi takes you on a trip, to a dark, hellish future, one which I will be returning to often.

Yay! More Macchi! Can't wait to hear it.
Finally gave this one a listen earlier in the week. It is ridiculously awesome.
I've been really sick since Friday. I wanted to make a post this weekend, but my energy level has been so low, and I have been chronically coughing. I guess it was just a matter of time this winter. I'm going to get sick every winter and there is nothing to be done for it. Having a body sucks sometimes.
@Strange Ranger: I'm sorry to hear that you're sick. I've been feeling so drained lately also, hence my lack of posts. School is really getting the best of me right now. I'll try to get something posted either tonight or tomorrow.
I'm glad you're enjoying the Macchi albums. Unfortunately his albums are very hard to come by. I have one more that I have yet to post - Bioritmi. Let me know if you've had a chance to listen to it yet. I wasn't planning on posting any more dark library music any time soon, but I can make an exception for Macchi.
I was listening to this on the bus to class this morning. This sorta sick paranoid feeling came over me, like a suicide bomber was going to get on the bus, or something really bad was going to happen. It took me a minute to realize it was the music having that effect on me. I'm far from prescient, so when I get those type of feelings I usually just ignore them.
I think if I could hold this LP in my hands I'd hear the angels singing like in a movie or something. :)
what program did you use to ZIP this with, I'm using WinRar and cannot unzip it because of invalid character(s) in the filename and directory (the e' with thing over it most likely) I have had this problem a couple times before with other files and used HEXedit to rename files/directories inside file, then work fine, but this one, cannot rename, cannot open in HEXed (error file does not exist ??) I can open it in WinRar, just can't do anything with it, can't view it, play it, unzip it, rename it, nothing, I'll try d/l it again but don't think that'll help because I don't get unexpected end of archive error so file appears complete
thanks 88
wow, persistence pays off (sometimes), tried open ZIP as folder in windows explorer, and files played, so was able to copy/pasted them to another folder, Voila (w/no funny chars), and all's well, that was a new one ...
thanks again, BC
